Poetry of Blood: Eclipse is a super fast paced 2D roguelite action game. You will play as Ishtar, also known as ‘Moon,’ the badass female protagonist. Your mission is to explore a post-apocalyptic world, take down some insanely strong (and beautiful) girl bosses scattered all over, and bring them back to your research base.
You will get to experiment with all kinds of weapons like katanas, spears, chakrams and more. There’s a ton of combat moves too, from standard attacks to charged attacks, counters, and even perfect dodges. Oh, and you will be pulling off double jumps, wall grabs, and dashes like a pro.
Plus you get AI companions to fight alongside you and help explore this future world. One of the coolest parts? You can pick Tarot cards for stat boosts and abilities during each challenge, or even reroll your weapon upgrades in the shop to get the perfect setup.
You also consume “Synthetic Blood” to power up your character, making each run more insane than the last. Do not forget to collect items, bond with NPCs by giving gifts and dive into their unique stories. All the characters and enemies are hand-drawn in pixel art, and the animations are smooth.
The game’s combat system is deep with four main classes and hundreds of Tarot card options, so you can create endless combos. The Early Access version has two major stages and five tough sub-bosses (some with hidden forms!). Oh and yeah, there are cute pixel art girls everywhere, from NPCs to powerful bosses.
