Alright, so Dialtown is this totally wacky dating sim where, get this—most people have phones for heads. Like, legit phones. And then you have women with typewriters for heads. But wait it gets even crazier. Dogs? They have gramophones for heads and cats? Yep, they rock keyboards. I know it sounds like I am making this up, but seriously, that is the game. And no, you do not need to call the psych ward.
So the whole deal is, you are in this visual novel, wandering around a place called Dialtown, trying to hook up with people (or, well, machines?) because all you really want is someone to pay your way into a funfair. Because you want to find a spot to lay your eggs… It is as bizarre as it sounds, but that is the charm!
You have all these weird, dateable characters. There is Karen, a bank teller who’s actually a printer, and she is super done with life—just trying to feel alive again. Then there is Randy, who is juggling jobs as a phone sex hotline operator and a bird wrangler for animal control. Talk about multitasking right?
Dialtown: Phone Dating Sim’s visuals are super unique, mixing real-world photography, 3D models and 2D illustrations. Plus the writing is seriously hilarious—way more out there than your usual dating sims. You can explore Dialtown and mess with the locals, and there are 26 different endings, so what you do actually matters. Oh, and let’s not forget, you can hunt Bigfoot too. Because why not?
