Hey gamers, this awesome game is in Early Access (EA) right now. The indie dev team behind it is super dedicated to keeping things fresh and always improving the game. They did not want to develop it all alone, so they launched it early to get feedback and suggestions from us players.
Additionally this game is a sandbox roguelike where you can recruit and train talents, collect materials, craft pills and weapons, and explore dungeons. The combat is side scrolling and you can arrange martial arts skills for multiple characters.
It is based on The Classic of Mountains and Rivers, mixing ancient Chinese mythology with global monsters and deities. You start as a reincarnated Nine-Tailed Fox spirit, which gives you some serious backup in battles. Everything in the game is randomly generated maps, dungeons, characters, you name it.
Characters fight on their own, but you can strategize their martial arts moves. With over 200 skills and different races to play, each with unique combat traits and upgraded paths, there is so much to explore. Plus you have a sect where you can refine weapons, grow plants, read, and chat with companions.
Exploration is a blast because you can destroy trees and rocks as you level up and dungeons are filled with treasure hunts, random events, old bosses and more. Each tail of the Nine-Tailed Fox has its own skills and acts like a save file. You can defeat other tails bosses to gain their skills.
The game also makes it super easy to mod skills, materials, bosses, dialogues, you name it, all editable with simple text editors and the game blends Eastern and Western monster designs giving it a unique art style that is still evolving. Some character images might look a bit rough now, but the full version will be more polished.
