On a mysterious island in the Seto Inland Sea, there is this wild urban legend about completing the “88 Temples Pilgrimage” to summon Kukai, who is said to grant your wish our protagonist ends up on this island and suddenly gets hit with a curse from some unknown entity, putting their life in danger. Now, they have got to figure out how to stop the resurrection of an ancient evil god that is been sealed on the island and break the curse before it is too late.
Other than that the game lets you answer questions to shape your protagonist’s stats, making each playthrough unique and you will love the thrill of rolling dice to overcome challenges. For even more fun, you can change up the protagonist’s image to really get into the story. In those nail-biting moments, your decisions and the dice rolls will determine your fate. The success rate depends on the protagonist’s and their companions’ abilities, and sometimes you will be racing against the clock to succeed.
As you wander around the island, hunger will cause terrifying seizures that mess with your dice roll success rates. Beware of the curse that is always lurking! The latter part of the story really branches out based on the protagonist’s sanity and their relationships with other characters. So your choices do matter.
You will meet some cool characters, like a cheerful university student friend who loves occult stuff, a smart but hobby-obsessed guy who’s a master at mahjong, a frail girl dreaming of city life, and a mysterious young man with special powers who claims the protagonist is his “destined person.” Each character adds their own twist to the story.
For the visual part, the game includes 11 different facial expressions for the protagonist, all in a 1920×1080 PNG format with transparent backgrounds.
