About DECLINE’S DROPS
In a different place, at a different time, there was this little wooden puppet, made from oak and birch, living far away from everyone, tucked away behind a forest. The game *Decline’s Drops* is a stunning 2D platform-brawler where you take on the role of Globule, a puppet wearing boxing gloves, on a mission to get revenge after her garden was wrecked.
It has the same kind of gameplay you’d see in platform-fighter games like Super Smash Bros. or Rivals of Aether but mixes it up with a colorful, emotional solo adventure. Each world and character in the game is handcrafted with a ton of love and detail.
It’s inspired by some of the greats like Yoshi’s Island, DKC: Tropical Freeze, and Shovel Knight, but blends all that with the fun combat of Super Smash Bros. Decline’s Drops has full of animals like chickens and frogs to fight along with cool places to explore and secrets to uncover.
It has got six worlds that poke fun at real-world issues from environmental destruction to pollution and consumerism. While it is not preachy, the game has lore digs into these topics. The adventure’s got this poetic and melancholic vibe going on.
You will be traveling through these beautifully drawn worlds, battling with your trusty boxing gloves using different moves depending on the situation. There are six Hydra heads to take down, and along the way, you will uncover the true reason behind all the chaos of the Decline.
Oh and there is Serge, a genetically modified monkey who trades valuable “Drops” for tools to help you on your journey. The game’s soundtrack is epic too, with music by ModalModule and SFX from Pixel Audio. So, grab those gloves and get ready to throw down!
