The Man in the Fields is an ancient ritual where players are rewarded with wealth and safety if they can complete it, during the ritual, every door and item that can be opened in the player’s house will be open, and your task is to close everything before midnight.
If even the smallest box is left open, The Man in the Fields will get in and take away something you can not live without and it is a real race against time and the stakes are high. While you are doing this, you might see a shadowy man lurking around your house.
Do not worry, he is not The Man in the Fields; he is just a herald. But whatever you do, DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FIELDS! If you accidentally do, you will see a creepy figure with long limbs heading toward your house. In that case, you must lock yourself in a safe room with a crucifix before it manages to get inside.
The game is set in five unique locations that change every time you play, so don’t expect to find items in the same places each time. The ritual can end in different ways, some good and some not so much. It is a challenge because you are racing against time and possibly avoiding the Herald. The reward is not just handed to you it is something you have to earn. Plus the key is to strategize and make the best use of your equipment and the safe room.
