You are welcome to “Vagrus–The Riven Realms” where two people from very different worlds one from slavery and the other from a noble family find their destinies entwined. These servants are facing numerous challenges on their paths, and as they are the main characters they have to endure it. Sedarias has become an Undead Knight of the Black Sun and begins to question his allegiance to the Empire. On the other hand, Javek who is a sorcerer from Tarkian, embarks on a journey to unearth ancient secrets, pushing both his and the players‘ mental limits.
The expansion “Vagrus–The Riven Realms: Old Acquaintances” revisits Sedarias and Javek, characters from the ‘Pilgrims of the Wasteland‘ campaign. All those characters have developed new skills and embark on personal quests that explore their unique backgrounds, confront new adversaries, and offer fresh rewards. Also, in this game, you can have a new entity, the Freelancers Guild, a group of mercenaries with specialized skills available for hire.
The character named “Javek” continues to be an idealistic and talented sorcerer due to the reason that he can read minds and sense emotions. All of his experiences have greatly changed his life, and he got settled on a less common path.
Sedarias returns from the Underworld, facing the most significant challenges yet in his new existence as an undead. By the Order of the Black Sun who is known for his decisive nature, strict manner, and effectiveness in battle. It is still difficult to know how he will adjust to his new situation and what implications it will have for the broader world of the Riven Realms. While players cannot use Sedarias and Javek at the same time due to their intense rivalry, it is feasible to pursue each of their storylines sequentially in a single gameplay session.
Furthermore, players have the opportunity to engage with the Collegium Mercennaris, an independent body, to employ mercenary specialists. The options available include a former gladiator, a Necromancer for hire, a Kal-rish ranger, and a seasoned slinger. This type of private army is particularly valuable in the early and middle stages of the game, but their unique abilities might also influence strategies in the later stages of the game.
